Our latest release; our sophomore album. An unforgettable adventure that we had in Los Angeles, USA, 2010. September 2010 saw us relocate to a bright aqua green apartment in the trendy suburb of Silverlake, LA, where we worked midday to midnight in the studio with Producer Ethan Allan for four weeks.
We had only 3 days off during the month that we were living there which included the odd celebrity encounter, exploring the famous sights of the city where movies began, over doing it on Mexican food, buying up big on cheap instruments and clothes, and struggling our way through the tipping and tax concept every time we ate.
Our debut full length album, recorded at Sing Sing Studios & the 'Crimea Cubby'(a sound proof cubby house we made in Robin's bedroom out of a bunnings pagola & the contents of numerous linen cupboards, much to our parents delight).
This was our first experience working with a producer, and it couldn't have been a more positive and enjoyable experience than working with Jimi Maroudas. We recorded it over numerous weekends whilst we were all still at uni and made up a whiteboard listing every track with the overdubs that needed doing, which still remains in Robin's old bedroom today with its final markings.
Our first studio recorded EP, featuring our self titled smash hit 'Little Stevie'. This recording played a big role in getting us our first festival appearances, generating our first income for the band and introduced us to the world of radio.
We were still an acoustic outfit when we made this, so we recruited one of our parents to play drums for us in the recording and realised then that there was no going back.
